Working through the mountains of pictures or should I say folders on my hard drive I came across a number of pictures featuring transport. So for this edition of themes, I have put together a series of pictures which feature methods of transporting people and products. Many of the pictures were taking in South East Asia, but a number are from my vacation in the UK.
My favorite is the picture of the A380 aircraft coming into land. I live quite close to U-tapao airport, Rayong and Thai Airways conduct maintenance on their fleet of aircraft at this site. I saw the A380 circling around, so off with the camera and down to the airport clicked off a few pictures. The aircraft is an incredible sight as it flies overhead.
Just a side note: The U-tapao airfield was used by the US during the Vietnam War, the B52 bombers were stationed at this site, so the runway is long enough to accommodate the A380.
As always please comment on blog and pictures.
Thailand has abundance of building projects underway, especially in the area where I live. I first ventured to this area around 17 years ago, I have lived in the area for 7 years now and the changes to this quiet sleepy town is enormous. The area is now in full construction of housing estates or Moo Ban’s as they are known in Thailand.
With the amount of new construction work going ahead and I noticed a number of started projects falling by the wayside. I started to photograph these derelict buildings on a recent tour of the town and surrounding areas and i am still on look out for more.
Why are these building project fall by the wayside? Money the companies start to build and run out of cash to complete the construction or something like that. These buildings are left and become overgrown and derelict. This is where I come in with my camera.
I call this the flower box, due to the way the foliage comes over the balcony.
These are just a small number of derelict buildings in the area.
After the response from the sharing pictures blog and viewing posts from different people, keep them coming. A number of my posts will follow a theme base. becoming project based will hopefully help by putting my photography pictures into themes for easy viewing. Remember to comment on all pictures or text included in the blog. The key is to never stop learning. As a blogger I want to learn so I can make the blogs more enjoyable.
So to start the first theme is boats. Living by the ocean there are many opportunities to take pictures of boats. Not just boats but the people who work them.
I saw this boat and could not resist clicking this one. Looks like it’s past it’s sailing days, but take the place as a flower box.
This boat I did some work on post processing with this, into B/W.
I was out on a shoot at the fish market in Rayong, Thailand and saw this boat returning from the ocean with it’s catch.
To finish off i like the concept of this picture, with the guy going past the bigger boat.
